Little Satori Psychotherapy
Therapy for identity, relationships, and the spaces in between
Therapy at Little Satori is a space for quiet unfolding. A place where we slow things down enough to notice what is happening beneath the surface - emotionally, relationally, and internally.
How I can help
Mixed-Race & Multicultural Therapy
1
Living between cultures can feel layered, confusing, and at times isolating.
You may feel connected to different parts of yourself, while also feeling like you donβt fully belong. Therapy offers space to explore your identity without needing to simplify who you are.
Together, we can gently navigate questions of belonging, cultural expectations, and the feeling of living between worlds.

Intercultural Couples & Family Therapy
2
Relationships shaped by different cultures, values, or family dynamics can bring both richness and complexity.
Differences in communication, expectations, or emotional expression can sometimes create misunderstandings that are difficult to navigate alone.
Therapy offers a space to build understanding with care -without forcing one personβs perspective over another.
β’ communication difficulties
β’ recurring conflict patterns
β’ emotional distance or disconnection
β’ trust and attachment challenges
β’ navigating cultural differences with care
β’ feeling misunderstood within relationships

Processing Inter-generational Trauma
3
Some emotional patterns donβt begin with us.
They can be carried through generations - through silence, survival, responsibility, cultural expectations, or unspoken ways of relating.
Therapy creates space to understand these inherited experiences with compassion, helping you move forward with greater awareness, choice, and self-compassion.
β’ inherited emotional patterns
β’ family roles and responsibility
β’ reconnecting with your own needs
β’ cycles of guilt or people-pleasing
β’ cultural & generational expectations
β’ silence, shame or emotional supression

How I work
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and paced with care.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to move at their own pace and explore what feels meaningful to them.
My work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive psychotherapy β but the relationship we build together remains at the centre of the process.
Rather than focusing on rapid change, Iβm interested in creating space to slow down, notice patterns, and understand yourself more fully with care and compassion.
What therapy feels like here
Sessions are a place to slow down and listen closely - to thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and relational patterns that may have been difficult to name alone.
We make room for both clarity and uncertainty, for what is heavy and what is still forming.
Over time, therapy often becomes less about fixing and more about relating to yourself with more steadiness and care.
Therapy in your language
Some things are hard to say in a second language. And some feelings donβt translate at all.
Sometimes the words that matter most donβt come easily in another language.
Little Satori offers space to speak in the language that feels closest to you - the one that carries your memories, emotions, humour, grief, and sense of self most naturally.
If Japanese or Portuguese feels more like home, therapy can happen there too.
Because feeling understood shouldnβt require you to translate who you are.

Why language matters in therapy
Some experiences are hard to put into words - especially in a language that isnβt your own. Speaking in your first language can make it easier to access what youβre feeling, express nuance, and feel understood without having to filter or translate your thoughts.
Understanding cultural context
Cultural expectations and ways of relating can quietly shape how you think, feel, and respond - often in ways that are hard to name. This is a space to gently explore those influences, especially when youβre navigating between different cultures or identities.
How weβll work together
We move at a pace that feels right for you. This is a space to reflect, explore, and make more sense of your experiences in a gentler manner.
Sessions are available in Japanese, Portuguese, and English. Youβre welcome to move between languages during our conversations, depending on what feels most comfortable and natural to you.
Thereβs space for you here!
If this resonates with you, I would love to see you for a free 20-30min consultation. Please feel free to reach out. I will be honored and privileged to walk this journey with you.
